Viggo Lidström started the match with the kick off. Leopoldo Loureiro might have been able to make a better finish in the 4th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Marcelo Lomba. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Leopoldo Loureiro ran back to his position shaking his head. Marcelo Lomba took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Leopoldo Loureiro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Marcelo Lomba made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Leopoldo Loureiro in the 9th minute of play. Dal 3ello's Gabriel Abreu quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Mats Möllgren, made in the 13th minute of the game. Dal 3ello's Leopoldo Loureiro got a good chance for a goal in the 16th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Davi Dal Bello scored 0-2 in the 17th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Marcelo Lomba, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 19th minute the ball was on its way in behind Esporte Club Bahia's goalkeeper Marcelo Lomba, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 21st minute, Leopoldo Loureiro made a precise shot to the right of Marcelo Lomba. Esporte Club Bahia's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-3. 25 minutes into the game, one of Esporte Club Bahia:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Marcelo Lomba had in the 26thth minute some difficulties stopping Davi Dal Bello's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Leopoldo Loureiro in the 29th minute of play forced Esporte Club Bahia's goalkeeper Marcelo Lomba to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Dal 3ello's Leopoldo Loureiro got a good chance for a goal in the 31st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 35 minutes of play, Dal 3ello's Leopoldo Loureiro made it 0-4 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Marcelo Lomba was left in no man's land by his defense there! Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Davi Dal Bello in the 39th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Marcelo Lomba prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The Dal 3ello fans' excitement grew in the 42nd match minute when Dal 3ello's Leopoldo Loureiro looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-5 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. A throw-in in the 45th minute of the game was made by Mats Möllgren with Luiz Gustavo Paes as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. The crowd rose to their feet as Luiz Gustavo Paes kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Igor Taffarel. That made the score 1-5 in the 47 minute of play. Disappointed in the 1-5 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Igor Taffarel didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Luiz Gustavo Paes went, in the 52nd minute, to the upper right corner, 2-5 was the resulting score. Leopoldo Loureiro succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 2-6 in the 57th playminute. If Caique Dal Bello had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Mats Möllgren hit a great freekick 63 minutes into the match. After 66 minutes of play, Dal 3ello's Leopoldo Loureiro made it 2-7 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Marcelo Lomba was left in no man's land by his defense there! After 71 played minutes Esporte Club Bahia got a freekick which was hit by Luiz Gustavo Paes. Marcelo Lomba showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Leopoldo Loureiro, who was totally free with the ball in the 74th minute. Marcelo Lomba showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Leopoldo Loureiro in the 75th minute of the match. Marcelo Lomba was a little too slow when Davi Dal Bello got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 78th minute. The score was now 2-8. Marcelo Lomba took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Leopoldo Loureiro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Leopoldo Loureiro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 84th minute Leopoldo Loureiro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marcelo Lomba saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Marcelo Lomba showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Leopoldo Loureiro, who was totally free with the ball in the 86th minute. Marcelo Lomba made a fantastic save in the 88th minute, when Leopoldo Loureiro sent off a good shot on target. 90 minutes into the match, Leopoldo Loureiro had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Marcelo Lomba. Esporte Club Bahia's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Leopoldo Loureiro was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-9. In the 94th minute, Leopoldo Loureiro reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Marcelo Lomba. The goal made the score 2-10. Dal 3ello were delighted with the way they had won the match. They had held their defensive line well and made the most of their chances, to claim a victory over Esporte Club Bahia's much stronger midfield.
