Ted Kobbeltvedt showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Servet Turabi, who was totally free with the ball in the 6th minute. 9 minutes into the game, Esbjerg fB's Servet Turabi nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Ted Kobbeltvedt made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Hemming Glykær charged in rather forcefully in the 13th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Hemming Glykær the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, FC Drik's Hemming Glykær got a free kick in the 13th minute. Ted Kobbeltvedt showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Servet Turabi, who was totally free with the ball in the 14th minute. 16 minutes into the match, Esbjerg fB's goal looked a bit too open when Hemming Glykær came free, but Wawrzyniec Walicki reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ernst Barskov's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Wawrzyniec Walicki read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 26th minute of play. Ted Kobbeltvedt showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from 于震树 in the 31st minute of the match. Ted Kobbeltvedt came out of the goal in the 31st minute to try and stop a shot by Esbjerg fB's 于震树. But to his dismay, 于震树 quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. Ted Kobbeltvedt showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from 于震树, who was totally free with the ball in the 38th minute. Ted Kobbeltvedt showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Zakarias Brejnrod in the 46th minute of the match. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-2.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Ernst Barskov was the one to do the kick off. Wawrzyniec Walicki made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ernst Barskov in the 51st minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gunvald Mitens in the 56th minute of play forced Esbjerg fB's goalkeeper Wawrzyniec Walicki to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Wawrzyniec Walicki took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Denis Schubring, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 64th minute Hemming Glykær shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Wawrzyniec Walicki saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A nice corner shot did that Willy Reitoft got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Wawrzyniec Walicki quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. The supporters of Esbjerg fB booed when FC Drik was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 73 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hemming Glykær didn't get a good kick on the ball. Servet Turabi could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 75th minute of the match, but Ted Kobbeltvedt made a huge save. Wawrzyniec Walicki showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hemming Glykær in the 79th minute of the match. Severin Torbell kicked well hit freekick during the 82nd minute of the match. After 85 minutes, Devlet İşcan mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the FC Drik and the Esbjerg fB players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, FC Drik's Devlet İşcan got a free kick in the 85th minute. After 93 played minutes Esbjerg fB got a freekick which was hit by Sigvardt Kalkerup. Wawrzyniec Walicki made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ernst Barskov in the 94th minute of play. Kjell Björstedt struck a weak shot in the 95th minute. Wawrzyniec Walicki didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FC Drik. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Esbjerg fB eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
