Bruno Capello blasted a shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Sem Titulescu having to make a save. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Bruno Capello to strike the kick off in the second half. Sem Titulescu came out of the goal in the 52nd minute to try and stop a shot by Los Trip's Bruno Capello. But to his dismay, Bruno Capello quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. Jataiense Futebol Clube's Lisandro Martínez managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Cipriano Castro in the 60 minute of the game. In the 62nd minute, Jataiense Futebol Clube's Carlinhos Cerezo seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Carlinhos Cerezo the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Jataiense Futebol Clube protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Carlinhos Cerezo had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 61st minute of the game. One of Jataiense Futebol Clube:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Los Trip:s goal. Candido Urbes hit a great freekick 80 minutes into the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Candido Urbes got free with Agustín Rossi in the 84th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Sem Titulescu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from José Augusto Peres in the 86th minute of the match. Luís Fernando Calderón De La Barca might have been able to make a better finish in the 89th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Sem Titulescu. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Luís Fernando Calderón De La Barca ran back to his position shaking his head. Jataiense Futebol Clube's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 4-0. Los Trip's Agustín Rossi proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 94th minute of the match, managed to save Los Trip from getting a goal against them. After 95 played minutes Jataiense Futebol Clube got a freekick which was hit by Lisandro Martínez. 98 minutes into the game, Luís Fernando Calderón De La Barca cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 5-0. Sem Titulescu was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Los Trip walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
