The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Senon Malta to strike the kick off in the second half. Florencio Cutberto made an important save on a dangerous shot by Luis María Guadalupe in the 52nd minute. When the match had gone on for 76 minutes, Lucas Alario put it in 7-2 from a short distance just to the right of Barto Reyes. In the 83rd minute, Leandro Sustrai hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lucas Alario in the 89th minute of play forced Guaparo FC's goalkeeper Barto Reyes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
