But to his dismay, Chorache Tofiño quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Vasile Arosculesei took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Karol Czempa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Váldson Paulista kicked well hit freekick during the 13th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Chorache Tofiño in the 19th minute of play forced Notts County BR's goalkeeper Vasile Arosculesei to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Chorache Tofiño scored 0-2 in the 25th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Vasile Arosculesei, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Notts County BR's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Rafinha Brodel in the 39th minute. In the 43rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Notts County BR's goalkeeper Vasile Arosculesei, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-3 lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Vasile Blănaru stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Vasile Arosculesei made an important save on a dangerous shot by Vasile Blănaru in the 51st minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Betão Xavier in the 73rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Martin Tudor prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Vasile Blănaru who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 75thth minute tested the skills of Vasile Arosculesei when he managed to save the team from getting behind. In the 78th minute, Boyde Palmington hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 79th minute of the match Rafinha Brodel sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Martin Tudor skillfully saved the ball. After 85 played minutes Notts County BR got a freekick which was hit by Ulysses Félix. Notts County BR's Manfredo Borges was substituted for Betão Xavier. The supporters of Notts County BR booed when Progresul Pitesti was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 88 match minutes in a wonderful position. Vintilă Marinică didn't get a good kick on the ball. 92 minutes into the match, Notts County BR's goalkeeper Vasile Arosculesei had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Vasile Blănaru. Iacob Ilinca's late challenge caught a Progresul Pitesti's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Iacob Ilinca helped the player get up and apologised. After 93 played minutes Notts County BR got a freekick which was hit by Iacob Ilinca. When the match was over Progresul Pitesti could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Notts County BR throughout the match.
