Jerzy Niedbalski's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Esbjörn Lindell read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 8th minute of play. When Flock of Eagles's Sabin Mergea in the 9th minute got a chance for a shot 9th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye FC Czermno's goalie prevented a goal. Leon Goretzka could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 10th minute of the match, but Esbjörn Lindell made a huge save. Sabin Mergea's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Lin Hong Song read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 12th minute of play. Filip Wennersten's late challenge caught a FC Czermno's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Filip Wennersten helped the player get up and apologised. Kent Asklöv hit a great freekick 19 minutes into the match. In the 25th match minute, Flock of Eagles was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kent Asklöv to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in Flock of Eagles's zone, Jerzy Niedbalski stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Esbjörn Lindell came out of the goal and Jerzy Niedbalski tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 32nd minute Sabin Mergea shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lin Hong Song saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Flock of Eagles's Esbjörn Lindell proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 35th minute of the match, managed to save Flock of Eagles from getting a goal against them. Lin Hong Song made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sabin Mergea in the 36th minute of play. Jerzy Niedbalski received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Esbjörn Lindell came out and tried to block the shot, but Jerzy Niedbalski slotted it home off the left post making it 2-1 in the 38th minute. Esbjörn Lindell made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ronny Åman in the 43rd minute. In the 43rd minute, FC Czermno's Ronny Åman ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Esbjörn Lindell. Esbjörn Lindell yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 3-1. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-1 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Sabin Mergea to strike the kick off in the second half. Esbjörn Lindell showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Flavius Ichim, who was totally free with the ball in the 51st minute. In the 54th match minute, Flock of Eagles was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kent Asklöv to maneuver through the defense. Lin Hong Song made an important save on a dangerous shot by Sabin Mergea in the 57th minute. FC Czermno made a substitution. Stefan Kapinos replaced Olaf Spychalski. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jerzy Niedbalski in the 65th minute of play forced Flock of Eagles's goalkeeper Esbjörn Lindell to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 68 minutes into the match, Flock of Eagles's goal looked a bit too open when Jerzy Niedbalski came free, but Esbjörn Lindell reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 70th minute Flock of Eagles were awarded a corner. Sabin Mergea went to the cornerflag to take it. Joacim Jonsson was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. In the 72nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Flock of Eagles's goalkeeper Esbjörn Lindell, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Sabin Mergea blasted a shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Lin Hong Song having to make a save. 79 minutes into the match, FC Czermno's Jerzy Niedbalski sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Esbjörn Lindell narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Esbjörn Lindell made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jerzy Niedbalski in the 80th minute of play. Jerzy Niedbalski took the ball and in the 83 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Esbjörn Lindell. Esbjörn Lindell dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 5-1. 88 minutes into the match, FC Czermno's Jerzy Niedbalski sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Esbjörn Lindell narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Sabin Mergea recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 93rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 95th minute Sabin Mergea shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lin Hong Song saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Flock of Eagles's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
