Javier Santo started the match with the kick off. Altos Gatos FC's Christian Kiliz proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 5th minute of the match, managed to save Altos Gatos FC from getting a goal against them. In the 7th minute of the match Altos Gatos FC got a corner. CACYFA's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Dinç Tuncay ran over to the corner to take the kick. Daniel Garnero made a great header on Altos Gatos FC's corner, it was just that CACYFA's Luis Quirce managed to reach the ball for a save. Javier Santo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Luis Quirce read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 14th minute of play. 18 minutes into the match, Altos Gatos FC's Javier Santo sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Luis Quirce narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After some careless play in the CACYFA defense, Javier Santo kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Luis Quirce. The CACYFA fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Luis Quirce should have stopped the shot. Faustino Cuarto charged in rather forcefully in the 26th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Faustino Cuarto the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. 27 minutes into the match, Javier Santo had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Luis Quirce. CACYFA's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Javier Santo was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-3. Altos Gatos FC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Dinç Tuncay in the 31st minute. At last the ball reached Justino Corderun at the corner, ending with a kick to difficult to stop for the goalkeeper of CACYFA. 0-4. If Adrian Czornomaz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 39th minute the ball was on its way in behind CACYFA's goalkeeper Luis Quirce, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. CACYFA were awarded a corner in the 42th minute after Altos Gatos FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Romeo Sanduru took the corner. A nice corner shot did that Romeo Sanduru got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Christian Kiliz quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. 43 minutes into the match, Altos Gatos FC's goal looked a bit too open when Adrian Czornomaz came free, but Christian Kiliz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 47th minute, Javier Santo ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Luis Quirce was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-6. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-6.

Luis Quirce made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Javier Santo in the 64th minute of play. Safet Jovanović might have been able to make a better finish in the 70th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Christian Kiliz. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Safet Jovanović ran back to his position shaking his head. With his leg Luis Quirce managed to avoid a goal in the 72ndth minute, when Altos Gatos FC's Carolo Abancens fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Luis Quirce stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Dinç Tuncay's shot from short distance in the 76th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Safet Jovanović in the 78th minute of play forced Altos Gatos FC's goalkeeper Christian Kiliz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Rosendo Sesuldo lost his temper 81 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. CACYFA's Gaspar Dunixi was substituted for Safet Jovanović. CACYFA made a substitution. Angelino Chico replaced Adolfo Jorrin. After 81 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Altos Gatos FC! Christian Kiliz had in the 84thth minute some difficulties stopping Romeo Sanduru's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. CACYFA's Luis Quirce proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 86th minute of the match, managed to save CACYFA from getting a goal against them. An unexpectedly hard shot by Angelino Chico in the 88th minute of play forced Altos Gatos FC's goalkeeper Christian Kiliz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Luis Quirce showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Justino Corderun in the 91st minute of the match. 97 minutes into the match, CACYFA's goalkeeper Luis Quirce had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Carolo Abancens. The supporters of Altos Gatos FC booed when CACYFA was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 99 match minutes in a wonderful position. Angelino Chico didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience was convinced that Carolo Abancens's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Luis Quirce was relentless in the 101st minute of the game. The Altos Gatos FC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Altos Gatos FC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
