João Oliveira showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gianluca Balla, who was totally free with the ball in the 3rd minute. When Arí Toscano fell near the penalty area in the 4th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Inacio F.C.'s protests and gave Arí Toscano a yellow card for diving instead. In the 4th match minute, Inacio F.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Arí Toscano to maneuver through the defense. Dinu Bocu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 6th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without João Oliveira having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dinu Bocu in the 10th minute of play forced Inacio F.C.'s goalkeeper João Oliveira to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. João Oliveira came out of the goal in the 11th minute to try and stop a shot by Hamburg Fighters's Dinu Bocu. But to his dismay, Dinu Bocu quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Arí Toscano received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 16th minute. Pavlos Konstantakakis tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Dinu Bocu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 19th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. If Arí Toscano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Inacio F.C. booed when Hamburg Fighters was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 22 match minutes in a wonderful position. Wieslaw Obuchowicz didn't get a good kick on the ball. 24 minutes into the match, Inacio F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Dinu Bocu came free, but João Oliveira reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Gwidon Babicki received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 28th minute. Hamburg Fighters's Pavlos Konstantakakis proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 29th minute of the match, managed to save Hamburg Fighters from getting a goal against them. Pavlos Konstantakakis was out of position in the 30 minute of play, and Válbson Sousa capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Válbson Sousa really showed his touch with that goal: 1-1. In the 37th match minute, Hamburg Fighters was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Per Schmettau to maneuver through the defense. In the 41st minute, Bernardo Paranaense hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 47 played minutes Hamburg Fighters got a freekick which was hit by Dinu Bocu. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Dinu Bocu's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 54thth minute, João Oliveira skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. 57 minutes into the game, Gilson Ribeiro threw the ball into play from the sideline. Hamburg Fighters's Enrico Piccirilli quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Dinu Bocu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A throw-in in the 66th minute of the game was made by Gilson Ribeiro with Adalberto Félix as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. João Oliveira showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gianluca Balla, who was totally free with the ball in the 78th minute. If Dinu Bocu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 80th minute, Severiano Nel got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Dinu Bocu recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 85th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Dinu Bocu came free with the goalkeeper in the 87th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and João Oliveira could save by the left post. Gianluca Balla who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 92ndth minute tested the skills of João Oliveira when he managed to save the team from getting behind. After having played for 96 minutes, Dinu Bocu managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Hamburg Fighters's supporters crossed their fingers, but Dinu Bocu was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Hamburg Fighters eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
