Álvaro Perpiñán made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gianni Balla in the 17th minute of play. Sporting Burgas's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Seve Sevilla in the 22nd minute. Seve Sevilla made a great header on Sporting Burgas's corner, it was just that Hamburg Fighters's Pavlos Konstantakakis managed to reach the ball for a save. Pavlos Konstantakakis showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Antonio Fioriti in the 28th minute of the match. After 33 played minutes Sporting Burgas got a freekick which was hit by Miroslaw Piglowski. When the match had gone on for 34 minutes, Dinu Bocu took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Álvaro Perpiñán to make any attempt to save it. In the 37th match minute, Sporting Burgas was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Maurin Canturri to maneuver through the defense. After some fancy dribbling in the 46th minute, Dinu Bocu managed to get in a good position for a shot. Hamburg Fighters's supporters rose to their feet, but Dinu Bocu was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Álvaro Perpiñán breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Dinu Bocu stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After a defensive mix-up in Hamburg Fighters's zone, Antonio Fioriti stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Pavlos Konstantakakis came out of the goal and Antonio Fioriti tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Antonio Fioriti who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 59thth minute tested the skills of Pavlos Konstantakakis when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Sporting Burgas's Álvaro Perpiñán played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dinu Bocu in the 61st minute of play. Dinu Bocu scored 2-0 in the 61st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Álvaro Perpiñán, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 65 minutes into the match, Gianluca Balla had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Álvaro Perpiñán. Sporting Burgas's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Gianluca Balla was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-0. Thanks to some nice moves Antonio Fioriti could shoot a difficult shot in the 69th minute, which Pavlos Konstantakakis however easily saved by the left post. Antonio Fioriti received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 70th minute. Pavlos Konstantakakis tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Antonio Fioriti sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Pavlos Konstantakakis made an important save on a dangerous shot by Antonio Fioriti in the 78th minute. Sporting Burgas's Álvaro Perpiñán played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gianluca Balla in the 79th minute of play. Dinu Bocu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Álvaro Perpiñán having to interfere. A collision led to Sporting Burgas getting a freekick after 81 minutes play. Joel Ferrer hit a great ball. After 90 played minutes Sporting Burgas got a freekick which was hit by Ke Xiong Chen. Antonio Fioriti could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 92nd minute of the match, but Pavlos Konstantakakis made a huge save. Hamburg Fighters's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
