Hilario Pesquera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mattin Solbeida, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. 24 minutes into the match, Golden Dragón F.C's goal looked a bit too open when Adolfo Blanco came free, but Hilario Pesquera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Hilario Pesquera came out of the goal in the 26th minute to try and stop a shot by Tacheros de Buenos Aires's Vilius Gudavičius. But to his dismay, Vilius Gudavičius quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. In the 29th minute Mattin Solbeida shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hilario Pesquera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Mattin Solbeida's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 29thth minute, Hilario Pesquera skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. If Ceyhan Celvet had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Gregorio Lehior took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ceyhan Celvet, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Golden Dragón F.C's Hilario Pesquera proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 36th minute of the match, managed to save Golden Dragón F.C from getting a goal against them. The supporters of Golden Dragón F.C booed when Tacheros de Buenos Aires was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 40 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jan-Ove Tunander didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 41st minute of the match Alan Petersen sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Gregorio Lehior skillfully saved the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ceyhan Celvet in the 44th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Gregorio Lehior saved Tacheros de Buenos Aires from getting behind. Ceyhan Celvet sent away a hard shot on goal in the 48th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Gregorio Lehior made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ceyhan Celvet in the 48th minute of play. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Ceyhan Celvet made a kick off. Ceyhan Celvet fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 51st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gregorio Lehior having to interfere. After 52 played minutes Golden Dragón F.C got a freekick which was hit by Gasteiz Durazno. After a defensive mix-up in Tacheros de Buenos Aires's zone, Ceyhan Celvet stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gregorio Lehior came out of the goal and Ceyhan Celvet tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. A sloppy throw-in by Rolando Guilabertus in the 67th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Golden Dragón F.C's Maximo Perojo. Dario Betzanos received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Gregorio Lehior came out and tried to block the shot, but Dario Betzanos slotted it home off the left post making it 1-1 in the 67th minute. In the 71stth minute of the game Vilius Gudavičius who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Golden Dragón F.C's Hilario Pesquera was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Golden Dragón F.C made a substitution. Xamo Melic replaced Selim Mićić. After having played for 77 minutes, 石洋康 managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Golden Dragón F.C's supporters crossed their fingers, but 石洋康 was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 78 minutes, Alejandro Nicholas mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Tacheros de Buenos Aires and the Golden Dragón F.C players grew even worse after the yellow card. The Tacheros de Buenos Aires supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Golden Dragón F.C's performance. The match ended with a win for Golden Dragón F.C.
