César Moraes started the match with the kick off. Júlio Linares made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marcelo-Luis Butcher in the 5th minute of play. Tage Backlund came free with the goalkeeper in the 6th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Aldo Hawk could save by the left post. With a little luck, Deportivo Rodriguez's Aldo Hawk got control of the ball when Tage Backlund tried to sneak it across the goal line. Dom Bosch's late challenge caught a Xiboquinha FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Dom Bosch helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Xiboquinha FC booed when Deportivo Rodriguez was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 7 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dom Bosch didn't get a good kick on the ball. Deportivo Rodriguez's Aldo Hawk proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 8th minute of the match, managed to save Deportivo Rodriguez from getting a goal against them. 12 minutes into the match, Xiboquinha FC's Tage Backlund sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Aldo Hawk narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Aldo Hawk made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tage Backlund in the 15th minute of play. César Moraes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 18th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Valentim Leão blasted a shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Júlio Linares having to make a save. Júlio Linares showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marcelo-Luis Butcher in the 29th minute of the match. César Moraes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 35th minute. Aldo Hawk tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 36 minutes, Tage Backlund managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Xiboquinha FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Tage Backlund was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 39 minutes into the match, Gualterio Aguirre notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of Xiboquinha FC's Júlio Linares. Júlio Linares was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After some careless play in the Xiboquinha FC defense, Wiley Boyle kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Júlio Linares. The Xiboquinha FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Júlio Linares should have stopped the shot. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-3.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Gualterio Aguirre made a kick off. Yenal Kargin hit a great freekick 51 minutes into the match. Júlio Linares had great luck who in the 54thth minute grab hold of the ball when Gualterio Aguirre from a short distance tried to put the ball inside the right post. 56 minutes into the match, Xiboquinha FC's goalkeeper Júlio Linares had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Valentim Leão. Deportivo Rodriguez were awarded a corner in the 58th minute after Xiboquinha FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Willie Staton took the corner. After taking down the ball on Deportivo Rodriguez's corner Willie Staton fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Júlio Linares quite easily take care of the ball. Manoel Couto hit a great freekick 58 minutes into the match. Aldo Hawk made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tage Backlund in the 62nd minute of play. After 63 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Deportivo Rodriguez! Gualterio Aguirre could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 68th minute of the match, but Júlio Linares made a huge save. Aldo Hawk stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of César Moraes's shot from short distance in the 70th minute. Júlio Linares showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rene Harman in the 72nd minute of the match. Deportivo Rodriguez were awarded a corner in the 73th minute after Xiboquinha FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Willie Staton took the corner. Gualterio Aguirres short, quick shot in the 76thth minute got Júlio Linares to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. In the 79th minute, Yenal Kargin hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Júlio Linares had great luck who in the 82ndth minute grab hold of the ball when Gualterio Aguirre from a short distance tried to put the ball inside the right post. The corner led Deportivo Rodriguez's Rene Harman to fire away a dangerous shot which Júlio Linares despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. 86 minutes into the match, Xiboquinha FC's goal looked a bit too open when Rene Harman came free, but Júlio Linares reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Rene Harman got free with Júlio Linares in the 89th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 90 minutes into the match, Deportivo Rodriguez's Rene Harman sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Júlio Linares narrowly saved just below the crossbar. César Moraes kicked well hit freekick during the 92nd minute of the match. The crowd rose to their feet as Gualterio Aguirre kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Júlio Linares. That made the score 1-4 in the 93 minute of play. Wiley Boyle's late challenge caught a Xiboquinha FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. When the final whistle sounded Deportivo Rodriguez left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Xiboquinha FC.
