Corneliu Dridu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Waldemar Quintal having to interfere. In the 37th minute of the match Lauro Antunes shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Waldemar Quintal showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In the 40th minute, Corneliu Dridu ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Waldemar Quintal was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. 45 minutes into the game, Dr Lecter SC's Omid Kaulbach nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Waldemar Quintal made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-0. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Emil Belu stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 50th match minute, Dr Lecter SC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Corneliu Dridu to maneuver through the defense. Voyager Soccer Team's Ronaldão Silveira managed to work through Dr Lecter SC's defense and was going for an easy goal, but he hit the shot with his toe and the ball flew outside the goal. Ronaldão Silveira dejectedly held out his arms as if to ask why the ball hadn't gone in. 56 minutes into the match, Voyager Soccer Team's goal looked a bit too open when Corneliu Dridu came free, but Waldemar Quintal reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Dr Lecter SC were awarded a corner in the 57th minute after Voyager Soccer Team's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Luiz Fabiano Pitta took the corner. The corner led Dr Lecter SC's Omid Kaulbach to fire away a dangerous shot which Waldemar Quintal despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. 65 minutes into the match, Voyager Soccer Team's goal looked a bit too open when Corneliu Dridu came free, but Waldemar Quintal reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Waldemar Quintal took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Corneliu Dridu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 79 minutes into the match, Dr Lecter SC's goal looked a bit too open when Alfred Owsiak came free, but Celso Trevisan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Corneliu Dridu in the 83rd minute of play forced Voyager Soccer Team's goalkeeper Waldemar Quintal to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 85th minute, Dênis Marques fired away a shot that was totally unreachable for Celso Trevisan. The ball ended up just outside the left post, and Voyager Soccer Team's manager could be seen angrily pacing the sidelines. Voyager Soccer Team made a substitution. Jerzy Dropinski replaced Alun Harmon. Dr Lecter SC made a substitution. Dieguinho de Medeiros replaced Válbson Batista. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Dr Lecter SC had won after a very even match.
