AITEC's Christophe Pourre played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Grzegorz Bierfass in the 27th minute of play. In the 29th minute Nico Schellander shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Anton Björnberg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Anton Björnberg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nico Schellander in the 34th minute of play. AITEC were awarded a corner in the 35th minute after Inter de Chillán's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Nico Schellander took the corner. Victor Berger made a great header on AITEC's corner, it was just that Inter de Chillán's Anton Björnberg managed to reach the ball for a save. When the match had gone on for 41 minutes, Hélio Neto put it in 1-1 from a short distance just to the right of Anton Björnberg. 44 minutes into the game, Gilson Almeida threw the ball into play from the sideline. A well done corner resulted in Albino Zenteno drilling the ball in to score 2-1 behind AITEC's goalkeeper. Inter de Chillán's Rickard Erserman was substituted for Samuel Abel. Inter de Chillán made a substitution. Eladio Araujo replaced Grzegorz Bierfass. Hortêncio Magalhães's late challenge caught a Inter de Chillán's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Hortêncio Magalhães helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, AITEC's Hortêncio Magalhães got a free kick in the 67th minute. 69 minutes into the match, Inter de Chillán's goal looked a bit too open when Hélio Neto came free, but Anton Björnberg reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Inter de Chillán's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Tobías Izamit in the 73rd minute. Nico Schellander could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 74th minute of the match, but Anton Björnberg made a huge save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jacinto Romero in the 76th minute of play forced Inter de Chillán's goalkeeper Anton Björnberg to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. For all the effort they put into the match, the AITEC players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Inter de Chillán.
