Blue avalanche's supporters rose to their feet, but Stanislav Búlgarov was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Müfit Tolgahan breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When the match had gone on for 17 minutes, Omurtag Púrvulov took a quick shot and it went in 3-0 without a chance for Müfit Tolgahan to make any attempt to save it. If Stanislav Búlgarov had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Müfit Tolgahan was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in.

Müfit Tolgahan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Seymour Coffman in the 70th minute of the match. 71 minutes into the match, Delyan Partinov notched a goal, 9-0, to the right of Samsunspor's Müfit Tolgahan.
