Jagiellonia Bialystok's Michael Iurisch played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Deilmison van Basten in the 37th minute of play. 38 minutes into the match, Deilmison van Basten had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Michael Iurisch. Jagiellonia Bialystok's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Deilmison van Basten was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. Rodriguinho Sousa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Aleksander Winograd in the 45th minute of the match. Jagiellonia Bialystok's Michael Iurisch proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 47th minute of the match, managed to save Jagiellonia Bialystok from getting a goal against them. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Deilmison van Basten stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute Deilmison van Basten shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Michael Iurisch saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 53rd match minute, Jagiellonia Bialystok was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Leszek Malicki to maneuver through the defense. When Leszek Malicki fell near the penalty area in the 54th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. With a left leg Michael Iurisch saved Jagiellonia Bialystok from getting behind. In the 82nd minute Deilmison van Basten shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Michael Iurisch saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Deilmison van Basten's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Michael Iurisch read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 86th minute of play. 87 minutes had been played when some careless play by Jagiellonia Bialystok's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Robin van Persie was slow to take the kick. During this time ATHLETICO PRaiano's players had a chance to rest.
