The corner led AIK FOTBOLL's Alvin Bergfelt to fire away a dangerous shot which Volkan Ünalmış despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. When Tanek Podwojski came up free with the goalie in the 11th minute, the WKS Śląsk Wrocław fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tanek Podwojski couldn't finish the play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Napoleon Zajonc in the 16th minute of play forced AIK FOTBOLL's goalkeeper Sven-Oskar Andreasson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. AIK FOTBOLL's Sven-Oskar Andreasson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Szczepan Wiatrak in the 24th minute of play. Volkan Ünalmış didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Jean-Pascal Bellefeuille went, in the 35th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. After 38 minutes of play, WKS Śląsk Wrocław's Tanek Podwojski made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Sven-Oskar Andreasson was left in no man's land by his defense there!

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Valdemar Tomasson to make the kick off. Volkan Ünalmış made an important save on a dangerous shot by Valdemar Tomasson in the 56th minute. Valdemar Tomasson could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 56th minute of the match, but Volkan Ünalmış made a huge save. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Sten Hård during the 62nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of WKS Śląsk Wrocław booed when AIK FOTBOLL was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 62 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sten Hård didn't get a good kick on the ball. Volkan Ünalmış took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Åke Pil, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 84 minutes into the game, Åke Pil cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-3. Volkan Ünalmış was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. A collision led to WKS Śląsk Wrocław getting a freekick after 89 minutes play. Feliks Orszak hit a great ball. Sven-Oskar Andreasson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Barnaba Lizewski, who was totally free with the ball in the 91st minute. AIK FOTBOLL's attentive Ove Kellberg managed to snatch the ball when Wladyslaw Faron made a throw-in in the 93rd minute of the game. Wladyslaw Faron kicked well hit freekick during the 95th minute of the match. Volkan Ünalmış made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Åke Pil in the 96th minute of play. The WKS Śląsk Wrocław manager could be seen shouting at his players as they walked down the tunnel after the match. He was clearly angry that they had squandered their superior possession, allowing AIK FOTBOLL to win.
