When Sabin Ghionescu fell near the penalty area in the 20th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored UFC Veseud's protests and gave Sabin Ghionescu a yellow card for diving instead. In the 25th minute of the match, Eusebiu Tunar tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Fonso Zotillo saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. A hard shot 27 in the game by Francisco Barreto from a close distance when the talented Fonso Zotillo managed to make a qualified save. XV de Piracicaba's players were relieved. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Fábio Montoia was the one to do the kick off. XV de Piracicaba's Fonso Zotillo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Romeo Șerbulescu in the 57th minute of play. 58 minutes had been played when some careless play by XV de Piracicaba's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Eusebiu Tunar was slow to take the kick. During this time UFC Veseud's players had a chance to rest. The corner led UFC Veseud's Eusebiu Tunar to fire away a dangerous shot which Fonso Zotillo despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Eusebiu Tunar in the 60th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Fonso Zotillo saved XV de Piracicaba from getting behind. After a rather tough play, XV de Piracicaba's Toninho Galvão got a free kick in the 61st minute. In the 64th minute Eusebiu Tunar shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fonso Zotillo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Fonso Zotillo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Francisco Barreto, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 67 minutes into the match, UFC Veseud's goalkeeper Radu Isaicu had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Toninho Galvão. 69 minutes into the match, UFC Veseud's goal looked a bit too open when Toninho Galvão came free, but Radu Isaicu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of XV de Piracicaba booed when UFC Veseud was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 74 match minutes in a wonderful position. Andrei Chiose didn't get a good kick on the ball. Fonso Zotillo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Severino Capixaba hit a great freekick 80 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Francisco Barreto in the 83rd minute of play forced XV de Piracicaba's goalkeeper Fonso Zotillo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 83 minutes into the game, Francisco Barreto cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. Fonso Zotillo was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The audience was convinced that Francisco Barreto's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Fonso Zotillo was relentless in the 86th minute of the game. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Sabin Ghionescu in the 89th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Fonso Zotillo prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Valdir Marquez's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Radu Isaicu firmly grabbed it by the left post. After a rather tough play, XV de Piracicaba's Mateus Pimenta got a free kick in the 96th minute.
