C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Leonard Treppa came free, but Jefferson de Moraes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Leonard Treppa in the 10th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jefferson de Moraes saved Araçá F. C. from getting behind. Leonard Treppa recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 12th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 15 minutes into the match, Leonard Treppa had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Jefferson de Moraes. Araçá F. C.'s manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Leonard Treppa was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. After 27 played minutes Araçá F. C. got a freekick which was hit by Joélson de Sousa. Jefferson de Moraes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Leonard Treppa, who was totally free with the ball in the 31st minute. 32 minutes into the game, Tirant lo Blanch's Leonard Treppa nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Jefferson de Moraes made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-3. 37 minutes into the match, Leonard Treppa notched a goal, 2-4, to the right of Araçá F. C.'s Jefferson de Moraes. Jefferson de Moraes was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After 43 minutes of play, Tirant lo Blanch's Leonard Treppa made it 2-5 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Jefferson de Moraes was left in no man's land by his defense there! After the first half Tirant lo Blanch were leading 2-5. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Nilmar Vieira was the one to do the kick off. 54 minutes into the match, Araçá F. C.'s goalkeeper Jefferson de Moraes had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Leonard Treppa. In the 54th minute, Nildo Brito hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 56th minute the ball was on its way in behind Araçá F. C.'s goalkeeper Jefferson de Moraes, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Araçá F. C.'s Jefferson de Moraes proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 57th minute of the match, managed to save Araçá F. C. from getting a goal against them. Radomil Barciniak might have been able to make a better finish in the 58th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Jefferson de Moraes. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Radomil Barciniak ran back to his position shaking his head. After a rather tough play, Tirant lo Blanch's García Diez got a free kick in the 60th minute. Kamal Pahlevi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Leonel Leão in the 61st minute of play. In the 63rd match minute, Araçá F. C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Javier Abalos to maneuver through the defense. In the 68th minute of the match Tirant lo Blanch got a corner. Araçá F. C.'s goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Pitin Vallejo ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner led Tirant lo Blanch's Iván Arraz to a score. 2-6 in the 68th minute. A collision led to Tirant lo Blanch getting a freekick after 71 minutes play. García Diez hit a great ball. Tirant lo Blanch's Carmen Paniagua was substituted for Leonard Treppa. In the 72nd match minute, Tirant lo Blanch was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by García Diez to maneuver through the defense. The crowd rose to their feet as Tirant lo Blanch's Carmen Paniagua slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Jefferson de Moraes. That made the score 2-7 after 75 minutes of play. A throw-in in the 83rd minute of the game was made by Nildo Brito with Paulo José de Andrade as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. In the 83rd minute, Nildo Brito hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Jefferson de Moraes was a little too slow when Carmen Paniagua got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 86th minute. The score was now 2-8. After some careless play in the Araçá F. C. defense, Carmen Paniagua kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jefferson de Moraes. The Araçá F. C. fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jefferson de Moraes should have stopped the shot.
