The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Celedonio Oihenarte made an important save on a dangerous shot by Camilo Francho in the 4th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fedai Oktan in the 19th minute of play forced Santhiagos Feli Club's goalkeeper Celedonio Oihenarte to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Kant Spel blasted a shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Celedonio Oihenarte having to make a save. Celedonio Oihenarte showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kant Spel, who was totally free with the ball in the 23rd minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Camilo Francho got free with Celedonio Oihenarte in the 25th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Ronny Sundström took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Severo Acevedo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Santhiagos Feli Club's Celedonio Oihenarte proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 36th minute of the match, managed to save Santhiagos Feli Club from getting a goal against them. Ronny Sundström made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Severo Acevedo in the 38th minute of play. 39 minutes into the match, BENA FK's Camilo Francho sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Celedonio Oihenarte narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 42nd match minute, BENA FK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ola Utter to maneuver through the defense. Santhiagos Feli Club's Severo Acevedo got a good chance for a goal in the 45th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Julian Jacob charged in rather forcefully in the 45th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Julian Jacob the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Camilo Francho scored 1-1 in the 47th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Celedonio Oihenarte, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Adan Caitano's late challenge caught a BENA FK's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Adan Caitano helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Santhiagos Feli Club getting a freekick after 52 minutes play. Adan Caitano hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Adan Caitano in the 54th minute of play forced BENA FK's goalkeeper Ronny Sundström to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Rosendo Arlo might have been able to make a better finish in the 56th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ronny Sundström. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Rosendo Arlo ran back to his position shaking his head. 56 minutes into the match, BENA FK's goal looked a bit too open when Rosendo Arlo came free, but Ronny Sundström reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Santhiagos Feli Club's Celedonio Oihenarte played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fedai Oktan in the 63rd minute of play. After 67 played minutes BENA FK got a freekick which was hit by Camilo Francho. After some fancy dribbling in the 70th minute, Camilo Francho managed to get in a good position for a shot. BENA FK's supporters rose to their feet, but Camilo Francho was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Celedonio Oihenarte breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 79 minutes into the match, Santhiagos Feli Club's Severo Acevedo sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Ronny Sundström narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Camilo Francho in the 83rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Celedonio Oihenarte prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Fedai Oktan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Celedonio Oihenarte having to interfere. BENA FK's Gustaf Sjögren was substituted for Fedai Oktan. Generoso Guzman hit a great freekick 87 minutes into the match. In the 88th minute, Gustaf Sjögren left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The BENA FK fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gustaf Sjögren in the 91st minute of play forced Santhiagos Feli Club's goalkeeper Celedonio Oihenarte to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ronny Sundström made a fantastic save in the 95th minute, when Severo Acevedo sent off a good shot on target.
