Sebastian Jayvier's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Wachirapong Wattanachinda read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 10th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Baal Grunberg in the 15th minute of play forced Mercado Paulista F.C's goalkeeper Fernando Arquett to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Daniel Namasivayam kicked well hit freekick during the 17th minute of the match. With a little luck, Mercado Paulista F.C's Fernando Arquett got control of the ball when Tiaguinho Mandrak tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 21st minute Clube do Remo MZ were awarded a corner. Didi Mello went to the cornerflag to take it. In the 24th minute the ball was on its way in behind Clube do Remo MZ's goalkeeper Wachirapong Wattanachinda, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 26 minutes into the match, Mercado Paulista F.C's goal looked a bit too open when Baal Grunberg came free, but Fernando Arquett reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Fernando Arquett showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Baal Grunberg in the 34th minute of the match. 36 minutes had been played when some careless play by Mercado Paulista F.C's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Didi Mello was slow to take the kick. During this time Clube do Remo MZ's players had a chance to rest. Caco de Sena charged in rather forcefully in the 42nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Caco de Sena the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Mercado Paulista F.C getting a freekick after 42 minutes play. Caco de Sena hit a great ball. Baal Grunberg sent away a hard shot on goal in the 45th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

A throw-in in the 51st minute of the game was made by Daniel Namasivayam with Didi Mello as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. An unexpectedly hard shot by Baal Grunberg in the 56th minute of play forced Mercado Paulista F.C's goalkeeper Fernando Arquett to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Fernando Arquett made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Baal Grunberg in the 58th minute of play. 60 minutes into the match, Mercado Paulista F.C's Sebastian Jayvier sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Wachirapong Wattanachinda narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 62nd minute Mercado Paulista F.C were awarded a corner. Jonathan Arixo went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner ended in Emir Mecnun almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Clube do Remo MZ's Wachirapong Wattanachinda did a great save. The audience thought a goal was coming when Paulino Elequemedo got free with Wachirapong Wattanachinda in the 69th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Mercado Paulista F.C's Fernando Arquett played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dagoberto Sandoval in the 77th minute of play. Fernando Arquett showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tiaguinho Mandrak in the 80th minute of the match. Sebastian Jayvier recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 82nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The supporters of Clube do Remo MZ booed when Mercado Paulista F.C was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 83 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jonathan Arixo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Fernando Arquett came out of the goal in the 84th minute to try and stop a shot by Clube do Remo MZ's Baal Grunberg. But to his dismay, Baal Grunberg quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. In the 88th minute Dagoberto Sandoval shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fernando Arquett saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Fernando Arquett showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tiaguinho Mandrak, who was totally free with the ball in the 91st minute. A collision led to Mercado Paulista F.C getting a freekick after 94 minutes play. Paulino Elequemedo hit a great ball. Tiaguinho Mandrak's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Fernando Arquett read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 94th minute of play. Baal Grunberg scored 2-1 in the 96th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Fernando Arquett, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot.
