André Luís Best scored 0-2 in the 32nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Milian Basel, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Milian Basel breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Fynn John made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ionel Dănciulescu in the 41st minute of play. Milian Basel didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Olívio França went, in the 43rd minute, to the upper right corner, 0-3 was the resulting score. Disappointed in the 0-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.
After 52 minutes of play, Atlético Mineiro's Olívio França made it 0-4 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Milian Basel was left in no man's land by his defense there! As de Ouro's Milian Basel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by César de Queiroz in the 60th minute of play. Olívio França could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 63rd minute of the match, but Milian Basel made a huge save. When César de Queiroz came up free with the goalie in the 65th minute, the Atlético Mineiro fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that César de Queiroz couldn't finish the play. Milian Basel came out of the goal in the 67th minute to try and stop a shot by Atlético Mineiro's César de Queiroz. But to his dismay, César de Queiroz quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-6. Fynn John showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ionel Dănciulescu, who was totally free with the ball in the 72nd minute. Fynn John showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Serafim Messias in the 76th minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Olívio França got free with Milian Basel in the 77th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The supporters of As de Ouro booed when Atlético Mineiro was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 82 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ove Friberger didn't get a good kick on the ball. Atlético Mineiro made a substitution. Benê Rodrigues replaced César de Queiroz. After a rather tough play, Atlético Mineiro's Ove Friberger got a free kick in the 83rd minute. In the 87th minute of the match, Benê Rodrigues tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Milian Basel saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Benê Rodrigues was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 91st minute. Atlético Mineiro's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. When the match was over Atlético Mineiro could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than As de Ouro throughout the match.
