Delmar Bartoleme took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lou Walker, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Elwood Keys kicked well hit freekick during the 11th minute of the match. In the 16th minute, one of VERΛ:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for VERΛ. Delmar Bartoleme had in the 18thth minute some difficulties stopping Güngör Yüce's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. In the 21st minute the ball was on its way in behind VERΛ's goalkeeper Delmar Bartoleme, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lou Walker in the 22nd minute of play forced VERΛ's goalkeeper Delmar Bartoleme to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Delmar Bartoleme came out and tried to block the shot, but Lou Walker slotted it home off the left post making it 0-7 in the 86th minute. In the 89th minute, Toronto United's Lou Walker dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-8. Abraham Fitzgerald hit a great freekick 91 minutes into the match. Delmar Bartoleme made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lou Walker in the 94th minute of play.
