Alan Creemers's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Stig Bengtsson firmly grabbed it by the left post. Stig Bengtsson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Etienne Van den Sande in the 12th minute of play. After 14 played minutes The Northmen Army got a freekick which was hit by Olgierd Misiorowski. 18 minutes into the game, The Northmen Army's Nicko Kličko nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Casper Jans made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. In the 23rd minute, Alan Creemers got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. An unexpected shot in the 28th minute by Alan Creemers got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. After 30 minutes, Olgierd Misiorowski mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the The Northmen Army and the Racing Matinette players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to The Northmen Army getting a freekick after 30 minutes play. Olgierd Misiorowski hit a great ball. After having played for 31 minutes, Matthew Van Cauwenbergh managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Racing Matinette's supporters crossed their fingers, but Matthew Van Cauwenbergh was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. With a little luck, The Northmen Army's Stig Bengtsson got control of the ball when Jonatan Toli tried to sneak it across the goal line. Stig Bengtsson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jonatan Toli in the 35th minute of play. A collision led to Racing Matinette getting a freekick after 39 minutes play. Jonatan Toli hit a great ball. In the 44th minute Nicko Kličko shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Casper Jans saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Nicko Kličko stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Racing Matinette were awarded a corner in the 55th minute after The Northmen Army's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Matthew Van Cauwenbergh took the corner. Racing Matinette's Matthew Van Cauwenbergh was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Stig Bengtsson in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. In the 56th minute Alan Creemers shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Stig Bengtsson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Stig Bengtsson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jonatan Toli in the 60th minute of the match. The Northmen Army's Patrik Wacherhausen was substituted for Cui Xiong Zhen. The corner led Racing Matinette's Matthew Van Cauwenbergh to fire away a dangerous shot which Stig Bengtsson despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Charles Volckaerts made in the 64th minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Etienne Van den Sande however managed to control. In the 67th minute, Jonatan Toli got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The Northmen Army's Best Štriker was substituted for Hershel Guertin. Stig Bengtsson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jonatan Toli in the 70th minute of play. When Racing Matinette's Jonatan Toli in the 73rd minute got a chance for a shot 73rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye The Northmen Army's goalie prevented a goal. Racing Matinette's Matthew Van Cauwenbergh was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Stig Bengtsson in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Stig Bengtsson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jonatan Toli in the 76th minute of the match. In the 78th minute, Etienne Van den Sande hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Stig Bengtsson came out of the goal in the 81st minute to try and stop a shot by Racing Matinette's Jonatan Toli. But to his dismay, Jonatan Toli quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. After some careless play in the The Northmen Army defense, Jonatan Toli kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Stig Bengtsson. The The Northmen Army fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Stig Bengtsson should have stopped the shot. In the 91st minute, Olgierd Misiorowski hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Racing Matinette had played much better football throughout.
