The corner led to PINGO PINGO's Paulo José de Carvalho getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling David Piarres in the 20th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Dionisio Raphael prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Dionisio Raphael made a fantastic save in the 23rd minute, when Josemir Lujambio sent off a good shot on target. With an all-out effort, Atlético Argentino's Dionisio Raphael threw himself towards the right post 25 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from David Piarres, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. 27 minutes into the match, Atlético Argentino's goal looked a bit too open when Filip Josefsson came free, but Raimundo Feliu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for David Piarres to strike the kick off in the second half.
