Patrick Eliasson made a fantastic save in the 10th minute, when Orlín Amuscotegui sent off a good shot on target. Gnesta Oilers's Patrick Eliasson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tauro Fontecilla in the 14th minute of play. Tauro Fontecilla who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 19thth minute tested the skills of Patrick Eliasson when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Patrick Eliasson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tauro Fontecilla in the 24th minute of play. Salamón Del Fierro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Karl-Ove Söderström, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 31st minute of the match Gnesta Oilers got a corner. CDU Católica's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Gaudencio Stanislao ran over to the corner to take the kick. Gnesta Oilers's Torbjörn Alin was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Salamón Del Fierro in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Patrick Eliasson made an important save on a dangerous shot by Orlín Amuscotegui in the 34th minute. A collision led to Gnesta Oilers getting a freekick after 37 minutes play. Torbjörn Alin hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tauro Fontecilla in the 40th minute of play forced Gnesta Oilers's goalkeeper Patrick Eliasson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 41st minute, Alejo Veliz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A collision led to CDU Católica getting a freekick after 43 minutes play. Tauro Fontecilla hit a great ball. After 46 played minutes CDU Católica got a freekick which was hit by Zavier Valle. CDU Católica's Salamón Del Fierro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dave Mathy in the 47th minute of play. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Tauro Fontecilla to strike the kick off in the second half. Patrick Eliasson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tauro Fontecilla in the 51st minute of the match. Patrick Eliasson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tauro Fontecilla, who was totally free with the ball in the 54th minute. Alejo Veliz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Salamón Del Fierro having to interfere. When CDU Católica's Tauro Fontecilla in the 57th minute got a chance for a shot 57th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Gnesta Oilers's goalie prevented a goal. After 59 minutes Gnesta Oilers's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Cristóbal Lataste who took care of the corner kick. CDU Católica's Cristóbal Lataste was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Patrick Eliasson in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. 62 minutes into the match, Gnesta Oilers's goal looked a bit too open when Tauro Fontecilla came free, but Patrick Eliasson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Patrick Eliasson came out of the goal and Tauro Fontecilla tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 79 minutes into the match, Alejo Veliz dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Salamón Del Fierro, 1-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Orlín Amuscotegui in the 83rd minute of play forced Gnesta Oilers's goalkeeper Patrick Eliasson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Tauro Fontecilla in the 84th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Patrick Eliasson prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 94th minute Tauro Fontecilla shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Patrick Eliasson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The Gnesta Oilers players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented CDU Católica from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
