Sant Bartolomeu FC's Abraham Mrabet was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Glen Nash in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Edgard Dalmu in the 12th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Glen Nash prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 14 minutes into the match, Sant Bartolomeu FC's Edgard Dalmu sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Glen Nash narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 16 minutes into the match, Carlisle United's goalkeeper Glen Nash had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Nico Everts. Glen Nash stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Edgard Dalmu's shot from short distance in the 18th minute. The audience was convinced that Edgard Dalmu's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Glen Nash was relentless in the 18th minute of the game. Edgard Dalmu might have been able to make a better finish in the 24th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Glen Nash. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Edgard Dalmu ran back to his position shaking his head. 26 minutes had been played when some careless play by Carlisle United's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Abraham Mrabet was slow to take the kick. During this time Sant Bartolomeu FC's players had a chance to rest. The corner led Sant Bartolomeu FC's Abraham Mrabet to fire away a dangerous shot which Glen Nash despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Edgard Dalmu's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Glen Nash read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 30th minute of play. In the 31st minute of the match Sant Bartolomeu FC got a corner. Carlisle United's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Abraham Mrabet ran over to the corner to take the kick. Edgard Dalmu struck a weak shot in the 36th minute. Glen Nash didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Sant Bartolomeu FC. In the 39thth minute of the game Edgard Dalmu who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Carlisle United's Glen Nash was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Vincent Needham stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Carlisle United's Glen Nash played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Edgard Dalmu in the 53rd minute of play. In the 55thth minute of the game Edgard Dalmu who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Carlisle United's Glen Nash was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Sant Bartolomeu FC's Bero Montaña was substituted for Sigge Sigge. Edgard Dalmu took the ball and in the 87 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Glen Nash. Glen Nash dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 6-0. Glen Nash had in the 96thth minute some difficulties stopping Edgard Dalmu's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. 97 minutes into the match, Sant Bartolomeu FC's goal looked a bit too open when Mark Mager came free, but Tuste Villanueva reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
