FK Mazda Svidník's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Donzel Goyeneta was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. Donzel Goyeneta sent away a hard shot on goal in the 10th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. AEK S.C were awarded a corner in the 14th minute after FK Mazda Svidník's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Vaggelis Mitsiou took the corner. Aníbal Lima was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. In the 22nd minute of the match AEK S.C got a corner. FK Mazda Svidník's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Vaggelis Mitsiou ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner ended in João Francisco de Andrade almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but FK Mazda Svidník's Stanislav Saktor did a great save. 24 minutes into the match, FK Mazda Svidník's goal looked a bit too open when Donzel Goyeneta came free, but Stanislav Saktor reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Donzel Goyeneta recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 34th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 41 played minutes FK Mazda Svidník got a freekick which was hit by Matúš Závodský. Aníbal Lima made in the 45th minute of the game a quick throw-in and João Francisco de Andrade immediately put the ball in play. AEK S.C's Zacharias Siatzis got a good chance for a goal in the 47th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Matúš Závodský was the one to do the kick off. The supporters of AEK S.C booed when FK Mazda Svidník was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 55 match minutes in a wonderful position. Martin Tabaček didn't get a good kick on the ball. A collision led to FK Mazda Svidník getting a freekick after 67 minutes play. Martin Imrek hit a great ball. AEK S.C's Kevin Carreira was substituted for Donzel Goyeneta. AEK S.C made a substitution. Thalis Krommidas replaced Vaggelis Mitsiou. Martin Imrek kicked well hit freekick during the 68th minute of the match. Rodrigo Hats hit a great freekick 72 minutes into the match. In the 72nd match minute, AEK S.C was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rodrigo Hats to maneuver through the defense. AEK S.C's João Francisco de Andrade managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Boran Sarih in the 74 minute of the game. Boran Sarih got a throw-in 78 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Golo Strojek. Thanasis Koltsidas showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Matúš Závodský in the 79th minute of the match. 80 minutes into the match, AEK S.C's goal looked a bit too open when Matúš Závodský came free, but Thanasis Koltsidas reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Golo Strojek came up free with the goalie in the 81st minute, the FK Mazda Svidník fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Golo Strojek couldn't finish the play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Thalis Krommidas in the 91st minute of play forced FK Mazda Svidník's goalkeeper Stanislav Saktor to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. AEK S.C's Thanasis Koltsidas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Matúš Závodský in the 93rd minute of play. When the match clock showed 94 minutes, the score became 2-0 when Thalis Krommidas sped through FK Mazda Svidník's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Stanislav Saktor. AEK S.C walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
