Elia Pietrantoni might have been able to make a better finish in the 25th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Santos Santio. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Elia Pietrantoni ran back to his position shaking his head. Santos Santio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Elia Pietrantoni in the 25th minute of play. Lamar Arthur fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Damiano Battisti having to interfere. Lamar Arthur sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Lamar Arthur to make the kick off. After having played for 55 minutes, Virgilio Kennedy managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Chard United's supporters crossed their fingers, but Virgilio Kennedy was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Elia Pietrantoni received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 57th minute. Santos Santio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 59th minute Elia Pietrantoni shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Santos Santio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 73rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Chard United's goalkeeper Santos Santio, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Damiano Battisti showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lamar Arthur, who was totally free with the ball in the 81st minute. After a rather tough play, Eurospeed Asti's Iosif Gherase got a free kick in the 83rd minute. In the 87th minute the ball was on its way in behind Eurospeed Asti's goalkeeper Damiano Battisti, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 90 minutes into the match, Chard United's goal looked a bit too open when Elia Pietrantoni came free, but Santos Santio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Chard United were disappointed that they only managed a draw, even though they felt themselves to be the better team.
