In the 6th minute, Savage Hippo's Edwin Grabert dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-0. Edwin Grabert blasted a shot towards the goal in the 11th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Leonardo Aguirre having to make a save. In the 12th match minute, Savage Hippo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Vilmantas Magdišauskas to maneuver through the defense. Bengt-Arne Askstedt made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Generoso Breogan in the 13th minute of play. Edwin Grabert sent away a hard shot on goal in the 19th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Manzano's Leonardo Aguirre played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Edwin Grabert in the 19th minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet as Edwin Grabert kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Leonardo Aguirre. That made the score 3-0 in the 21 minute of play. Edwin Grabert sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience thought a goal was coming when Edwin Grabert got free with Leonardo Aguirre in the 29th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 30 minutes into the match, Savage Hippo's goal looked a bit too open when Gustavo Dantel came free, but Bengt-Arne Askstedt reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Leonardo Aguirre was a little too slow when Edwin Grabert got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 32nd minute. The score was now 4-0. Cosme Chano made in the 40th minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Marcelo Salas however managed to control. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Edwin Grabert in the 46th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Leonardo Aguirre prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 4-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Gustavo Dantel was the one to do the kick off. Savage Hippo were awarded a corner in the 52th minute after Manzano's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Eddie Bjurström took the corner. Eddie Bjurström made a great header on Savage Hippo's corner, it was just that Manzano's Leonardo Aguirre managed to reach the ball for a save. Leonardo Aguirre showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Edwin Grabert, who was totally free with the ball in the 54th minute. 56 minutes into the match, Manzano's goal looked a bit too open when Edwin Grabert came free, but Leonardo Aguirre reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Edwin Grabert in the 60th minute of play forced Manzano's goalkeeper Leonardo Aguirre to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience was convinced that Edwin Grabert's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Leonardo Aguirre was relentless in the 62nd minute of the game. A collision led to Savage Hippo getting a freekick after 64 minutes play. Jørund Markhus hit a great ball. The throw-in from Cosme Chano in the 68th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Savage Hippo's Aleksander Walec. 73 minutes into the match, Manzano's goal looked a bit too open when Edwin Grabert came free, but Leonardo Aguirre reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Edwin Grabert scored 5-0 in the 75th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Leonardo Aguirre, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After a rather tough play, Manzano's Generoso Breogan got a free kick in the 78th minute. 82 minutes into the game, Edwin Grabert cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 6-0. Leonardo Aguirre was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Leonardo Aguirre took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Vilmantas Magdišauskas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of Savage Hippo booed when Manzano was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 94 match minutes in a wonderful position. Frank de Boer didn't get a good kick on the ball. Savage Hippo's Eddie Bjurström couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 95th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Manzano. Savage Hippo's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
