An unexpectedly hard shot by Wit Lampa in the 56th minute of play forced Poli Timisoara's goalkeeper Ovidiu Adrian to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ovidiu Adrian took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Yu Ke Hui, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a defensive mix-up in Poli Timisoara's zone, Cai Shi Feng stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ovidiu Adrian came out of the goal and Cai Shi Feng tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Navigators's Derviş Erva was substituted for Zeynel Üke. Ovidiu Adrian made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cai Shi Feng in the 61st minute of play. Çağdaş Yuvakuran charged in rather forcefully in the 62nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Çağdaş Yuvakuran the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Poli Timisoara getting a freekick after 62 minutes play. Ovidiu Adrian showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Wit Lampa, who was totally free with the ball in the 71st minute. In the 74th minute, Ovidiu Bal hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some fancy dribbling in the 82nd minute, Özbek Tokur managed to get in a good position for a shot. Navigators's supporters rose to their feet, but Özbek Tokur was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ovidiu Adrian breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 85 played minutes Navigators got a freekick which was hit by Hakan Işık. Horst-Peter Unterberger, 86 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal.
