George Bălanescu started the match with the kick off. George Bălanescu had several of the E. C. Flamengo Paraibano's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 9 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 1-0 score and a disappointed Mané Barreto as he didn't even see the shot coming. After 13 played minutes E. C. Flamengo Paraibano got a freekick which was hit by Jorginho Lago. 14 minutes into the match, DINAMO PLOIESTI's goal looked a bit too open when Albin Anundsson came free, but Gelu Balotă reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 18th minute, DINAMO PLOIESTI's George Bălanescu ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Mané Barreto. Mané Barreto yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-0. Mané Barreto took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kunter Irmak, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, E. C. Flamengo Paraibano's Andrzej Solarek got a free kick in the 33rd minute. In the 36th minute, Andrzej Solarek hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. E. C. Flamengo Paraibano's Mané Barreto proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 39th minute of the match, managed to save E. C. Flamengo Paraibano from getting a goal against them. Mané Barreto didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Sidnei Donato went, in the 40th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-0 was the resulting score. DINAMO PLOIESTI's Gelu Balotă played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Albin Anundsson in the 44th minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Edinho Dantas during the 45th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 46 played minutes E. C. Flamengo Paraibano got a freekick which was hit by Edinho Dantas. Mané Barreto made an important save on a dangerous shot by Kunter Irmak in the 47th minute. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Thomás Loureiro stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Sidnei Donato in the 53rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Mané Barreto prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 57th minute, Kunter Irmak made a precise shot to the right of Mané Barreto. E. C. Flamengo Paraibano's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 4-0. 61 minutes into the match, E. C. Flamengo Paraibano's goal looked a bit too open when Claudiu Dragan came free, but Mané Barreto reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 62nd minute, Váldson Queirós hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Mané Barreto showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from George Bălanescu, who was totally free with the ball in the 65th minute. In the 71st minute, Sidnei Donato ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Mané Barreto was frozen by the shot and now it was 5-0. After a rather tough play, DINAMO PLOIESTI's Ricardo Grigore got a free kick in the 73rd minute. Gelu Balotă showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Albin Anundsson, who was totally free with the ball in the 76th minute. Mané Barreto didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Sidnei Donato went, in the 78th minute, to the upper right corner, 6-0 was the resulting score. Mané Barreto showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from George Bălanescu in the 82nd minute of the match. George Bălanescu scored 7-0 in the 82nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Mané Barreto, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Mané Barreto made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Claudiu Dragan in the 86th minute of play. George Bălanescu struck a weak shot in the 92nd minute. Mané Barreto didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for DINAMO PLOIESTI. 94 minutes into the match, E. C. Flamengo Paraibano's goal looked a bit too open when George Bălanescu came free, but Mané Barreto reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. There was no doubt that DINAMO PLOIESTI were the better team. DINAMO PLOIESTI's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
