In the 20th minute Gleb Sorokin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Luiz Eduardo Galvão saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Evgeniy Fomichev received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 21st minute. Aesir FC FSCMZ's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. 38 minutes into the match, Voskresensk FC's goalkeeper Igor Akinfeev had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Anselmo Fantini. Anselmo Fantini could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 38th minute of the match, but Igor Akinfeev made a huge save. The audience was convinced that Sydney Ramalho's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Igor Akinfeev was relentless in the 44th minute of the game. In the 47th match minute, Voskresensk FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Evgeniy Fomichev to maneuver through the defense.

Voskresensk FC's Igor Akinfeev played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Anselmo Fantini in the 53rd minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Voskresensk FC's zone, Sydney Ramalho stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Igor Akinfeev came out of the goal and Sydney Ramalho tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 61st minute, Fedor Ivanchuk ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Luiz Eduardo Galvão was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. A collision led to Aesir FC FSCMZ getting a freekick after 68 minutes play. Elivélton Jacinto hit a great ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 75th minute, Fedor Ivanchuk managed to get in a good position for a shot. Voskresensk FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Fedor Ivanchuk was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Luiz Eduardo Galvão breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Igor Akinfeev showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Anselmo Fantini in the 78th minute of the match. After having played for 79 minutes, Anselmo Fantini managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Aesir FC FSCMZ's supporters crossed their fingers, but Anselmo Fantini was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 81 minutes into the match, Voskresensk FC's goal looked a bit too open when Anselmo Fantini came free, but Igor Akinfeev reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Luiz Eduardo Galvão made a fantastic save in the 84th minute, when Gleb Sorokin sent off a good shot on target. Luiz Eduardo Galvão was out of position in the 84 minute of play, and Gleb Sorokin capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Gleb Sorokin really showed his touch with that goal: 0-2.
