In the 18th minute Marcus Rush shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Luiz Fabiano Arantes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jarrett Rosenberg showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Yves Lacoste, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute. Leripe Lifestyle's Luiz Fabiano Arantes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Patrick Fontenot in the 25th minute of play. In the 28th minute Marcus Rush shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Luiz Fabiano Arantes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After having played for 29 minutes, Federico Maia managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Cosmos Soccer Club's supporters crossed their fingers, but Federico Maia was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 38 minutes into the match, Cosmos Soccer Club's goal looked a bit too open when Dino Madureira came free, but Jarrett Rosenberg reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to Cosmos Soccer Club getting a freekick after 41 minutes play. Federico Maia hit a great ball. Marcus Rush sent away a hard shot on goal in the 45th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jarrett Rosenberg showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dino Madureira, who was totally free with the ball in the 46th minute. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Cauã Munhoz's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Jarrett Rosenberg firmly grabbed it by the left post. Waldo Bean recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 62nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Patrick Fontenot in the 66th minute of play forced Leripe Lifestyle's goalkeeper Luiz Fabiano Arantes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Dale Perkins kicked well hit freekick during the 67th minute of the match. After 68 played minutes Cosmos Soccer Club got a freekick which was hit by Clay Pringle. Jarrett Rosenberg showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dino Madureira in the 69th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Patrick Fontenot in the 71st minute of play forced Leripe Lifestyle's goalkeeper Luiz Fabiano Arantes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Cosmos Soccer Club getting a freekick after 73 minutes play. Harvey Flynn hit a great ball. Marcus Rush sent away a hard shot on goal in the 80th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Murilo Leal during the 85th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 86th match minute, Leripe Lifestyle was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Murilo Leal to maneuver through the defense. Leripe Lifestyle made a substitution. Gualter Vander replaced Laerte Figueiredo. The supporters of Cosmos Soccer Club booed when Leripe Lifestyle was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 87 match minutes in a wonderful position. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Marcus Rush ran back to his position shaking his head. Cauã Munhoz scored 0-1 in the 92nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Jarrett Rosenberg, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Leripe Lifestyle's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
