Leeds's Pál Benkó played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Natalio Quico in the 31st minute of play. In the 33rd minute Natalio Quico shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pál Benkó saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 34 minutes, Máté Szekeres mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Leeds and the Tiburones Rojos players grew even worse after the yellow card. During the 76th minute of the match Máté Szekeres completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Máté Szekeres a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. After 77 played minutes Leeds got a freekick which was hit by Máté Szekeres. In the 79th match minute, Leeds was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Máté Szekeres to maneuver through the defense. After some careless play in the Leeds defense, Feliciano Sesuldo kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Pál Benkó. The Leeds fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Pál Benkó should have stopped the shot. Tiburones Rojos made a substitution. Fernando Mel replaced Fausto Egoitz. Pál Benkó showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Aristides Urtsin, who was totally free with the ball in the 85th minute. 87 minutes into the match, Leeds's goal looked a bit too open when Natalio Quico came free, but Pál Benkó reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Zsolt Simon kicked well hit freekick during the 88th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 91st minute, Natalio Quico managed to get in a good position for a shot. Tiburones Rojos's supporters rose to their feet, but Natalio Quico was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Pál Benkó breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Pál Benkó showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Paulino Lucian, who was totally free with the ball in the 93rd minute. When the match had gone on for 96 minutes, Aristides Urtsin took a quick shot and it went in 0-8 without a chance for Pál Benkó to make any attempt to save it. When the match was over Tiburones Rojos could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Leeds throughout the match.
