In the 7th minute, Remus Ostoici ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Carlinhos Galvão was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. The supporters of União Agrícola Barbarense booed when FC Fanaticii was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 19 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eric Apostu didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 25th play minutes Mihai Măliță shot 0-2, a short shot which went by Carlinhos Galvão and just under the crossbar into goal. After having played for 28 minutes, Mihai Măliță managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FC Fanaticii's supporters crossed their fingers, but Mihai Măliță was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Carlinhos Galvão took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mihai Măliță, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. FC Fanaticii were awarded a corner in the 30th minute after União Agrícola Barbarense's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Mihai Măliță took the corner. A well done corner resulted in Remus Ostoici drilling the ball in to score 0-3 behind União Agrícola Barbarense's goalkeeper. After 33 played minutes FC Fanaticii got a freekick which was hit by Gigel Biriș. Elano Damião's late challenge caught a FC Fanaticii's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Elano Damião helped the player get up and apologised. Elano Damião kicked well hit freekick during the 35th minute of the match. Carlinhos Galvão showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mihai Măliță, who was totally free with the ball in the 39th minute. Disappointed in the 0-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Gică Curcă made a kick off. Carlinhos Galvão showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gică Curcă, who was totally free with the ball in the 61st minute. Afonso de Amaral got a throw-in 66 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Víktor Pimenta. In the 67th minute, Eric Apostu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. União Agrícola Barbarense were furious when Otávio Salgado was red carded, 71 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. After 71 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for União Agrícola Barbarense! Mihai Măliță shot the penalty kick right outside the post. Mihai Măliță recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 76th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When the match had gone on for 78 minutes, Mihai Măliță took a quick shot and it went in 0-4 without a chance for Carlinhos Galvão to make any attempt to save it. Șerban Nanu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Carlinhos Galvão having to interfere. After having played for 84 minutes, Șerban Nanu managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FC Fanaticii's supporters crossed their fingers, but Șerban Nanu was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Leontin Comăneci's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Carlinhos Galvão read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 90th minute of play. When the final whistle sounded FC Fanaticii left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than União Agrícola Barbarense.
