The audience was convinced that Remigiusz Mlekodaj's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Nacho González was relentless in the 12th minute of the game. When Boguslaw Marczyniec came up free with the goalie in the 16th minute, the 3City United fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Boguslaw Marczyniec couldn't finish the play. In the 19th minute of the match, Remigiusz Mlekodaj tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Nacho González saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Remigiusz Mlekodaj in the 19th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Nacho González prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Boguslaw Marczyniec kicked a quick shot right in front of the goal in the 21stth minute. Though ot was a great shot Astillero del Guayas's keeper Nacho González was sill able to block leaving the score board unchanged. In the 30th minute Remigiusz Mlekodaj shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nacho González saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Nacho González showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Remigiusz Mlekodaj in the 30th minute of the match. Boguslaw Marczyniec who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 33rdth minute tested the skills of Nacho González when he managed to save the team from getting behind. In the last second Nacho González throw himself and got hold of the ball when Remigiusz Mlekodaj in the 35thth minute from his position got away a shot towards the right post. The supporters of 3City United booed when Astillero del Guayas was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 39 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hugo Salz didn't get a good kick on the ball. Remigiusz Mlekodaj recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 40th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Astillero del Guayas's Nacho González played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Remigiusz Mlekodaj in the 42nd minute of play. With an all-out effort, 3City United's Nacho González threw himself towards the right post 44 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Remigiusz Mlekodaj, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The wind increased when Mattias Svan made the kick off in the second half. If Remigiusz Mlekodaj had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 60 minutes into the match, Astillero del Guayas's goal looked a bit too open when Remigiusz Mlekodaj came free, but Nacho González reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
