In the 8th minute, Deportivo Marplatense's Cristobal Eneto dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. In the 10thth minute of the game Marek Strandberg who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Deportivo Marplatense's Mikael Sjögren was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When Vila's Marek Strandberg in the 10th minute got a chance for a shot 10th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. In the 18th minute Olari Kabral shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mikael Sjögren saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 19 minutes Deportivo Marplatense's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Olari Kabral who took care of the corner kick. A nice corner shot did that Lin Jun Xuan got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Mikael Sjögren quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. The audience was convinced that Durvalino Vinhas's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Mikael Sjögren was relentless in the 33rd minute of the game. Mikael Sjögren was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

In the 57thth minute of the game Cristobal Eneto who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Vila's Koit Vaikma was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The supporters of Vila booed when Deportivo Marplatense was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 65 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tadeo Cesario didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 66th minute of the match Olari Kabral shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Mikael Sjögren showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In the 70th minute of the game Peep Raamets made a throw-in which Dido Gorolomov played forward. 76 minutes into the match, Vila's Dido Gorolomov sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Mikael Sjögren narrowly saved just below the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Georg Oher in the 77th minute of play forced Deportivo Marplatense's goalkeeper Mikael Sjögren to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Dido Gorolomov in the 87th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Mikael Sjögren prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The corner led Vila's Olari Kabral to fire away a dangerous shot which Mikael Sjögren despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. 93 minutes into the match, Cristobal Eneto had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Koit Vaikma. Vila's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Cristobal Eneto was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1. Many of Vila's supporters were seen to leave the ground early as it became clear their team was going to lose. Vila may have spent more time on the ball, but Deportivo Marplatense were more willing to take their chances and they walked away with the win.
