After some fancy dribbling in the 2nd minute, Tang Yang Le managed to get in a good position for a shot. Barcellos Mineiro FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Tang Yang Le was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Joseba Diez breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. With an all-out effort, Barcellos Mineiro FC's Joseba Diez threw himself towards the right post 7 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Tang Yang Le, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. After 9 minutes Ponte Riba Dil C.F.'s defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Amílton Loyola who took care of the corner kick. Joseba Diez was a little too slow when Dale Dolar got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 22nd minute. The score was now 1-0. In the 25th minute Gau Olle shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vânderson Saa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Joseba Diez made a fantastic save in the 26th minute, when Dale Dolar sent off a good shot on target. In the 30th minute, Gau Olle ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Vânderson Saa was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. The audience thought a goal was coming when Dale Dolar got free with Joseba Diez in the 32nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 34th minute, Barcellos Mineiro FC's Dale Dolar dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-1. In a very dangerous position, a player in Ponte Riba Dil C.F. fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 44th minute. Penalty! All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Dale Dolar was the one to do the kick off. Joseba Diez stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Dale Dolar's shot from short distance in the 55th minute. In the 56th minute of the match Barcellos Mineiro FC got a corner. Ponte Riba Dil C.F.'s goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Amílton Loyola ran over to the corner to take the kick. A well done corner resulted in Celsinho Corrêa drilling the ball in to score 4-1 behind Ponte Riba Dil C.F.'s goalkeeper. 60 minutes into the match, Dale Dolar notched a goal, 5-1, to the right of Ponte Riba Dil C.F.'s Joseba Diez. Joseba Diez was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Joseba Diez came out of the goal in the 65th minute to try and stop a shot by Barcellos Mineiro FC's Dale Dolar. But to his dismay, Dale Dolar quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 6-1. Dale Dolar blasted a shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Joseba Diez having to make a save. Joseba Diez showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dale Dolar, who was totally free with the ball in the 68th minute. After some careless play in the Ponte Riba Dil C.F. defense, Dale Dolar kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Joseba Diez. The Ponte Riba Dil C.F. fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Joseba Diez should have stopped the shot. In the 79th minute, Gau Olle hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Barcellos Mineiro FC made a substitution. Tião Paraíba replaced Boyd Kaufman. Joseba Diez showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dale Dolar in the 84th minute of the match. Joseba Diez stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Dale Dolar's shot from short distance in the 85th minute. After 89 minutes of play, Barcellos Mineiro FC's Dale Dolar made it 8-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Joseba Diez was left in no man's land by his defense there! An unexpectedly hard shot by Olavi Vilo in the 92nd minute of play forced Ponte Riba Dil C.F.'s goalkeeper Joseba Diez to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 96 minutes into the match, Ponte Riba Dil C.F.'s goal looked a bit too open when Dale Dolar came free, but Joseba Diez reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Barcellos Mineiro FC fully deserved thier win.
