Severino Barros showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from József Albert, who was totally free with the ball in the 14th minute. Cremonese FC's Dráusio Ortiz proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 15th minute of the match, managed to save Cremonese FC from getting a goal against them. When the match had gone on for 17 minutes, Rodrigo Bautista put it in 2-0 from a short distance just to the right of Dráusio Ortiz. In the 21stth minute of the game Marcus Batista who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Palermo AFC's Severino Barros was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Rodrigo Bautista's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Dráusio Ortiz read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 22nd minute of play. 24 minutes into the game, Marcus Batista was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Cremonese FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Palermo AFC the free kick. In the 24th match minute, Cremonese FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Marcus Batista to maneuver through the defense. Dráusio Ortiz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rodrigo Bautista in the 25th minute of the match. The Palermo AFC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-0. Palermo AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Rodrigo Bautista was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Dráusio Ortiz breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Marcus Batista made a kick off. 51 minutes into the match, Cremonese FC's goal looked a bit too open when Rodrigo Bautista came free, but Dráusio Ortiz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rodrigo Bautista in the 52nd minute of play forced Cremonese FC's goalkeeper Dráusio Ortiz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 54th match minute, Palermo AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Caetano Silveira to maneuver through the defense. Cremonese FC made a substitution. Dráusio Ortiz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rodrigo Bautista in the 85th minute of play. In the 86th minute of the match Palermo AFC got a corner. Cremonese FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Marcelo Domiku ran over to the corner to take the kick. A collision led to Cremonese FC getting a freekick after 87 minutes play. Marcus Batista hit a great ball. Rodrigo Bautista sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 91 minutes into the match, Cremonese FC's goal looked a bit too open when Rodrigo Bautista came free, but Dráusio Ortiz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Palermo AFC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 93rd minute, when Renatinho Gaúcho scored to the left of an out of position Severino Barros, making the score, 5-1. Palermo AFC were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Cremonese FC for a fine match.
