After a defensive mix-up in Montalcino SE's zone, Apolo Fliz stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Valdomiro Ferraz came out of the goal and Apolo Fliz tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Montalcino SE's Valdomiro Ferraz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Apolo Fliz in the 34th minute of play. Emilio Bazkoare showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nicolas Espiridion, who was totally free with the ball in the 35th minute. In the 37th minute of the match Montalcino SE got a corner. Regresado's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Leonardo de Godoi ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner went over the outstretched arms of Regresado's goalie and right to Modesto Atarratze. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Regresado's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. Perivaldo Paiva's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 46thth minute, Emilio Bazkoare skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.
