The Shymkent Camels fans' excitement grew in the 10th match minute when Shymkent Camels's Vladimir Kugotov looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. The Bajen fans' excitement grew in the 39th match minute when Bajen's Bernardo Caballero looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-1.

With a couple of smart ball manuevers Vladimir Kugotov in the 52nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Nick Pope saved Bajen from getting behind. Nick Pope made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sebastian Milla in the 54th minute of play. 55 minutes into the game, Vladimir Kugotov cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-1. Nick Pope was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Nick Pope showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sebastian Milla, who was totally free with the ball in the 60th minute. Bajen's Johan Johansson got a good chance for a goal in the 62nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Bajen's Karl-Magnus Åkesson got a free kick in the 63rd minute. Boris Lindqvist was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 64th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Johan Johansson made a great header on Bajen's corner, it was just that Shymkent Camels's Horacio Zarricueta managed to reach the ball for a save. In the 81st minute Sebastian Milla shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nick Pope saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The coaching staff of Bajen protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Angelino Atauri had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. Bajen:s Nick Pope showed great skill when he stopped Boris Lindqvist:s penalty. Horacio Zarricueta showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bernardo Caballero in the 96th minute of the match.
