Sebastião Sergipano hit a great ball. 16 minutes into the match, Rezende FC's goal looked a bit too open when Ulises Evangelista came free, but Reynaldo das Neves reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 21 minutes into the match, Daniel Bazán dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Reynaldo das Neves, 1-0. In the 26th minute the ball was on its way in behind C.A. SAN MARTIN MZA's goalkeeper Ubaldo Teofilio, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Daniel Bazán made a kick off. In the 53rd minute Ediberto Linares shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ubaldo Teofilio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Rezende FC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Eduardo Prado in the 54th minute. A nice corner shot did that Eduardo Prado got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Ubaldo Teofilio quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save.
