An unexpectedly hard shot by Alex Mansilha in the 13th minute of play forced Carp Team's goalkeeper Deyan Tătăruşanu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 17th minute, Matei Cârstea reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Paul Heyckendorf. The goal made the score 1-0. In the 20th minute Alex Mansilha shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Deyan Tătăruşanu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Deyan Tătăruşanu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kurt Ahrem, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. After 37 minutes Carp Team's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Alex Mansilha who took care of the corner kick. Deyan Tătăruşanu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alex Mansilha, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The wind increased when Gelu Zglobiu made the kick off in the second half. Carp Team's Deyan Tătăruşanu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kurt Ahrem in the 50th minute of play. With a little luck, Carp Team's Deyan Tătăruşanu got control of the ball when Kurt Ahrem tried to sneak it across the goal line. With his leg Deyan Tătăruşanu managed to avoid a goal in the 54thth minute, when Academica Pulheim's Kurt Ahrem fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. 59 minutes into the match, Carp Team's goalkeeper Deyan Tătăruşanu had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Kurt Ahrem. Paul Heyckendorf showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Neil Tutorskiy in the 73rd minute of the match. After 78 played minutes Carp Team got a freekick which was hit by Gelu Zglobiu.
