In the 4th minute of the match Borgo Doria F.C. got a corner. Criciúma Esporte Clube's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Michal Beninda ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner led to Borgo Doria F.C.'s Ercole Mian getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. Criciúma Esporte Clube's Evelio Antoniano played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ercole Mian in the 12th minute of play. Evelio Antoniano took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ercole Mian, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Evelio Antoniano made a fantastic save in the 19th minute, when Fabio Bottone sent off a good shot on target. Corrado Spitaleri showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Paulo Laurentzi, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fabio Bottone in the 28th minute of play forced Criciúma Esporte Clube's goalkeeper Evelio Antoniano to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Corrado Spitaleri was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The Borgo Doria F.C. players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Criciúma Esporte Clube were winning 0-2.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Alberto Scutti to make the kick off. Evelio Antoniano made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ercole Mian in the 51st minute of play. Criciúma Esporte Clube's Evelio Antoniano played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ercole Mian in the 53rd minute of play. In the 56th minute the ball was on its way in behind Borgo Doria F.C.'s goalkeeper Corrado Spitaleri, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. With a little luck, Borgo Doria F.C.'s Corrado Spitaleri got control of the ball when Gaztea Regalado tried to sneak it across the goal line. 60 minutes into the match, Borgo Doria F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Paulo Laurentzi came free, but Corrado Spitaleri reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fabio Bottone in the 62nd minute of play forced Criciúma Esporte Clube's goalkeeper Evelio Antoniano to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Michal Beninda kicked well hit freekick during the 63rd minute of the match. Alberto Scutti took the ball and in the 66 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Evelio Antoniano. Evelio Antoniano dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. 69 minutes into the game, Gaztea Regalado was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Criciúma Esporte Clube's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Borgo Doria F.C. the free kick. Gaztea Regalado hit a great freekick 69 minutes into the match. 70 minutes into the game, Borgo Doria F.C.'s Alberto Scutti nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Evelio Antoniano made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-2. In the 73rd match minute, Criciúma Esporte Clube was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mehmet Emin Kamer to maneuver through the defense. Evelio Antoniano took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ercole Mian, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Evelio Antoniano showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alberto Scutti, who was totally free with the ball in the 75th minute. After 82 minutes of play, Borgo Doria F.C.'s Alberto Scutti made it 3-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Evelio Antoniano was left in no man's land by his defense there! An unexpectedly hard shot by Ercole Mian in the 87th minute of play forced Criciúma Esporte Clube's goalkeeper Evelio Antoniano to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Corrado Spitaleri was out of position in the 90 minute of play, and Gaztea Regalado capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Gaztea Regalado really showed his touch with that goal: 3-3. Fabio Bottone fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Evelio Antoniano having to interfere. Criciúma Esporte Clube succeeded in salvaging a draw, even though Borgo Doria F.C. had controlled the match.
