Jiří Grim made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alexandros Matsinopoulos in the 4th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alexandros Matsinopoulos in the 10th minute of play forced Halkus Valkus BK's goalkeeper Jiří Grim to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jiří Grim stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Alexandros Matsinopoulos's shot from short distance in the 20th minute. Chris Draxl made a fantastic save in the 26th minute, when Fred Ekman sent off a good shot on target. SK Fenerbahce Wien were awarded a corner in the 30th minute after Halkus Valkus BK's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Thodoris Charalambakis took the corner. After taking down the ball on SK Fenerbahce Wien's corner Thodoris Charalambakis fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Jiří Grim quite easily take care of the ball. A collision led to Halkus Valkus BK getting a freekick after 32 minutes play. Marc Beneth hit a great ball. Jiří Grim showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alexandros Matsinopoulos, who was totally free with the ball in the 37th minute. After 39 minutes Halkus Valkus BK's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Thodoris Charalambakis who took care of the corner kick. The corner ended in Thodoris Charalambakis almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Halkus Valkus BK's Jiří Grim did a great save. In the 40th match minute, Halkus Valkus BK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jonathan Sundström to maneuver through the defense. In the 45th minute of the match, Nicolas Tantholt tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Chris Draxl saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 47th minute of the game. One of Halkus Valkus BK:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of SK Fenerbahce Wien:s goal. After the first half SK Fenerbahce Wien were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Halkus Valkus BK's Jiří Grim played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Thodoris Charalambakis in the 54th minute of play. 59 minutes into the match, Alexandros Matsinopoulos dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Jiří Grim, 0-2. 62 minutes into the game, Helge Sander was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Halkus Valkus BK's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave SK Fenerbahce Wien the free kick. The supporters of SK Fenerbahce Wien booed when Halkus Valkus BK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 62 match minutes in a wonderful position. Helge Sander didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 70 minutes Halkus Valkus BK's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Thodoris Charalambakis who took care of the corner kick. A nice corner shot did that Thodoris Charalambakis got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Jiří Grim quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. 72 minutes into the match, SK Fenerbahce Wien's goal looked a bit too open when Sune Sjöberg came free, but Chris Draxl reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nick Usel in the 76th minute of play forced SK Fenerbahce Wien's goalkeeper Chris Draxl to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 79th minute, Marc Beneth hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. SK Fenerbahce Wien's Eike Hörtnagel was substituted for Alexandros Matsinopoulos. With a little luck, Halkus Valkus BK's Jiří Grim got control of the ball when Eike Hörtnagel tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 91stth minute of the game Eike Hörtnagel who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Halkus Valkus BK's Jiří Grim was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After 92 minutes, Eike Hörtnagel made it 0-3 with a short kick to the right side. Halkus Valkus BK's Jiří Grim tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 94th minute, SK Fenerbahce Wien's Eike Hörtnagel dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-4.
