Andriy Shevchenko took the ball and in the 26 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ionuț Aluneanu. Ionuț Aluneanu dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Cobresal's Ionuț Aluneanu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sukma Adriansyah in the 32nd minute of play. Carlos Solari received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Ionuț Aluneanu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ionuț Aluneanu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Andriy Shevchenko in the 40th minute of play. Ullún's Andriy Shevchenko got a good chance for a goal in the 42nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After the first half Ullún were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Dino Scapini was the one to do the kick off. The long shot by Clemente Calixto in the 51st minute really tested Ionuț Aluneanu's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. Cobresal's Roberto Vildosola was substituted for Danilo Diaz de Valdes. In the 75th minute of the match Cobresal got a corner. After 76 minutes, Clemente Calixto mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Ullún and the Cobresal players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 95th minute, Sukma Adriansyah left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Ullún fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-4. When the final whistle sounded Ullún left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Cobresal.
