Felix Augustin hit a great freekick 4 minutes into the match. When Geovanildo Luis came up free with the goalie in the 5th minute, the Joinville City - FSCMZ fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Geovanildo Luis couldn't finish the play. Jospeh McNally made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ronaldinho Gaucho in the 7th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Geovanildo Luis in the 9th minute of play forced Brooklyn SC's goalkeeper Jospeh McNally to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With an all-out effort, Brooklyn SC's Haji Sarap threw himself towards the right post 11 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Felix Augustin, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Jospeh McNally made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Geovanildo Luis in the 17th minute of play. 20 minutes into the game, Geovanildo Luis cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Jospeh McNally was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. If Geovanildo Luis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 24 minutes into the match, Brooklyn SC's goal looked a bit too open when Geovanildo Luis came free, but Jospeh McNally reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Geovanildo Luis in the 26th minute of play forced Brooklyn SC's goalkeeper Jospeh McNally to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jospeh McNally took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from João Francisco Arce, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Haji Sarap made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Felix Augustin in the 30th minute of play. Jospeh McNally showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from João Francisco Arce in the 32nd minute of the match. Brooklyn SC's Jospeh McNally played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Geovanildo Luis in the 35th minute of play. In the 36th minute of the match Joinville City - FSCMZ got a corner. Brooklyn SC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Ronaldinho Gaucho ran over to the corner to take the kick. Joinville City - FSCMZ's Geovanildo Luis got a good chance for a goal in the 39th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 40th minute the ball was on its way in behind Brooklyn SC's goalkeeper Jospeh McNally, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Jospeh McNally dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-3. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-3.

52 minutes had been played when some careless play by Brooklyn SC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Ronaldinho Gaucho was slow to take the kick. During this time Joinville City - FSCMZ's players had a chance to rest. Jospeh McNally came out of the goal in the 55th minute to try and stop a shot by Joinville City - FSCMZ's Geovanildo Luis. But to his dismay, Geovanildo Luis quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-4. Jospeh McNally was a little too slow when Geovanildo Luis got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 59th minute. The score was now 0-5. Haji Sarap made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jonas Cole in the 64th minute of play. In the 68th minute, Geovanildo Luis ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jospeh McNally was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-6. Joinville City - FSCMZ's Luo Peng Ao was substituted for Ronaldinho Gaucho. Joinville City - FSCMZ made a substitution. Horácio Abraão replaced João Francisco Arce. Haji Sarap showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Felix Augustin, who was totally free with the ball in the 74th minute. After 90 minutes Joinville City - FSCMZ's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Jonas Cole who took care of the corner kick. Adhemar Santos hit a great freekick 91 minutes into the match. In the 94th minute of the match, Adhemar Santos tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Jospeh McNally saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Joinville City - FSCMZ's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
