But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tondo Ganzon couldn't finish the play. 8 minutes into the match, F.C. Cagayan Academy's goal looked a bit too open when Elian Benedicto came free, but Ninoy Pecson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Antonio Canal took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tol Paulin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Coronel Revuelta could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 26th minute of the match, but Ninoy Pecson made a huge save. Eliseo Berasko sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jasper Famador hit a great freekick 28 minutes into the match. Ninoy Pecson didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Gomesano Cayuela went, in the 33rd minute, to the upper right corner, 2-1 was the resulting score. After 35 played minutes Villawalter City got a freekick which was hit by Gualter Romero. Tol Paulin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Antonio Canal tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Antonio Canal showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tol Sablon, who was totally free with the ball in the 43rd minute. Antonio Canal took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tol Sablon, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-1.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Tol Paulin was the one to do the kick off. After 55 played minutes Villawalter City got a freekick which was hit by Gerard Velasco. After a defensive mix-up in Villawalter City's zone, Tol Paulin stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Antonio Canal came out of the goal and Tol Paulin tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Antonio Canal made an important save on a dangerous shot by Tol Paulin in the 68th minute. Ninoy Pecson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gomesano Cayuela in the 69th minute of play. Antonio Canal took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tondo Ganzon, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 82nd minute Elian Benedicto shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ninoy Pecson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With his leg Antonio Canal managed to avoid a goal in the 85thth minute, when F.C. Cagayan Academy's Tol Paulin fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. In the 89th match minute, F.C. Cagayan Academy was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tol Paulin to maneuver through the defense. Villawalter City's Antonio Canal proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 92nd minute of the match, managed to save Villawalter City from getting a goal against them. Villawalter City's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
