OLYMPIACOS FC's Ovidio Oto played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vilhelm Berg in the 9th minute of play. The audience was convinced that Ramiro Lore's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Freddie Mattsson was relentless in the 13th minute of the game. Evaristo Guilabertus's late challenge caught a The Green Fairies's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Evaristo Guilabertus helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of The Green Fairies booed when OLYMPIACOS FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 29 match minutes in a wonderful position. Evaristo Guilabertus didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ovidio Oto showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Pål Bratt in the 32nd minute of the match. Ovidio Oto took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sivert Lenberg, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 36 minutes into the game, The Green Fairies's Pål Bratt nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Ovidio Oto made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-4. In the 40thth minute of the game Ramiro Lore who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but The Green Fairies's Freddie Mattsson was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Vilhelm Berg fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ovidio Oto having to interfere. Disappointed in the 0-4 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.
Ivo Calado who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 51stth minute tested the skills of Ovidio Oto when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Thanks to some nice moves Ivo Calado could shoot a difficult shot in the 55th minute, which Ovidio Oto however easily saved by the left post. In the 56th minute Pål Bratt shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ovidio Oto saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Nils-Erik Nyman could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 58th minute of the match, but Ovidio Oto made a huge save. When Ivo Calado came up free with the goalie in the 59th minute, the The Green Fairies fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ivo Calado couldn't finish the play. Pål Bratt struck a weak shot in the 60th minute. Ovidio Oto didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for The Green Fairies. 63 minutes into the match, OLYMPIACOS FC's goal looked a bit too open when Vilhelm Berg came free, but Ovidio Oto reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Pål Bratt fell near the penalty area in the 66th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored The Green Fairies's protests and gave Pål Bratt a yellow card for diving instead. After 66 played minutes The Green Fairies got a freekick which was hit by Pål Bratt. OLYMPIACOS FC's Ovidio Oto played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Pål Bratt in the 68th minute of play. OLYMPIACOS FC's Ovidio Oto proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 69th minute of the match, managed to save OLYMPIACOS FC from getting a goal against them. Herbert Lundström took the ball and in the 72 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ovidio Oto. Ovidio Oto dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-5. After a defensive mix-up in OLYMPIACOS FC's zone, Ivo Calado stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ovidio Oto came out of the goal and Ivo Calado tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ovidio Oto made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pål Bratt in the 80th minute of play. In the 82nd minute Pål Bratt shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ovidio Oto saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. OLYMPIACOS FC's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Pål Bratt 84 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 0-6. 88 minutes into the match, Vilhelm Berg dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Ovidio Oto, 0-7. In the 96th minute Ramiro Lore shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Freddie Mattsson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the final whistle sounded The Green Fairies left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than OLYMPIACOS FC.
