The supporters of Rasnita booed when Fluminense DF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 10 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rei Pelé didn't get a good kick on the ball. Rasnita's Horaţiu Chelbea couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 11th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Fluminense DF. Pedrinho Seedorf hit a great freekick 13 minutes into the match. In the 16th minute, Gigel Apăvăloaie got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Fluminense DF's Edmílson Simão played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gigel Apăvăloaie in the 17th minute of play. Rasnita were awarded a corner in the 19th minute after Fluminense DF's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Horaţiu Chelbea took the corner. A nice corner shot did that Horaţiu Chelbea got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Edmílson Simão quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Pedrinho Niño tried in the 19th minute to hit away a contribution but miss-kicked the ball which ended up in his own goal and left an unhappy Edmílson Simão a with quite unnecessary self made goal. Result 1-0. In the 24th minute, Osvaldo Furlan got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Rasnita's Flavius Ferenț played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Osvaldo Furlan in the 28th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Rasnita's zone, Pedrinho Piqué stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Flavius Ferenț came out of the goal and Pedrinho Piqué tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. A nice corner shot did that Alfredo de Alcântara got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Flavius Ferenț quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Flavius Ferenț showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Osvaldo Furlan in the 42nd minute of the match. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The wind increased when Osvaldo Furlan made the kick off in the second half. 55 minutes in the game Valer Fecioru did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Gigel Apăvăloaie. After 57 minutes Fluminense DF's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Horaţiu Chelbea who took care of the corner kick. The corner ended in Horaţiu Chelbea almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Fluminense DF's Edmílson Simão did a great save. Edmílson Simão came out of the goal in the 62nd minute to try and stop a shot by Rasnita's Alex Cunea. But to his dismay, Alex Cunea quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. Fluminense DF's Edmílson Simão played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gigel Apăvăloaie in the 66th minute of play. Décio Cunha hit a great freekick 67 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sebastian Toacsen in the 68th minute of play forced Fluminense DF's goalkeeper Edmílson Simão to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 73rd minute, Osvaldo Furlan managed to get in a good position for a shot. Fluminense DF's supporters rose to their feet, but Osvaldo Furlan was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Flavius Ferenț breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 81st minute the ball was on its way in behind Rasnita's goalkeeper Flavius Ferenț, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Caio Travassos might have been able to make a better finish in the 83rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Flavius Ferenț. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Caio Travassos ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 83rd minute Caio Travassos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Flavius Ferenț saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 86thth minute of the game Caio Travassos who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Rasnita's Flavius Ferenț was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
